Considering we've been on our best run of the season in the last 10 games, by some distance, without Vieira mk2 in centre midfield, what we really need is to stick him back in there, to hopefully go on the same hopeless run we did at the start of the season.
That would be a genius move.

I find it quiet hard this week as I am not sure who to choose from Byram, Kouyate and Noble? In the end I left Byram out as he is least match fit. Once Byram is out, it is who at right back? Or do we have a right back? I have gone for Kouyate at right back, not because I think he is best there, just that I think he is the player in my 11 best suited to play there... If you see what I mean. Then I went for 4-3-3 with the players in midfield or up front.
So I think Bilic should go for:
Randolph
Kouyate Fonte Reid Cresswell
Noble Lanzini Obiang
Antonio Carroll Snodgrass

You've got to play Byram, if only to get some games into him to decide if he'll cut it for us. We've got nothing to play for so it'll help inform our summer of non spending. Kouyate is never ever a defender.Can get away with him at CB but RB is ridiculous. Needs to be in the middle with Obiang all day long.

I actually read somewhere he was playing on the right of a front three at Leeds for at least part of the half a season before we bought him.

Hi Sir Alf, a nicely considered post - you on the right site?
For Byram I agree with you - he's impetuous currently, too inclined to lunge in, which I think is reflected in his injury and disciplinary records as well as his "goals against". That's a side of his game he should be able to improve - it's about composure and judgement, attributes that usually improve in a player over time - in which case I think he could become an excellent attacking full back/wing back.
For Kouyate, he's shown he'll fill in willingly wherever but personally I'd like to see him ultimately back in midfield. Again there's no doubt he needs to improve - in his case his passing and decision-making (his taking the ball off of Reid and passing it straight to Austin at home to Soton still gives me shivers) but his energy, speed, power and goal-threat were a significant factor in our success last season and I think the team has missed him. Pairing him with Obiang (rather than being either/or) might work?

I wage that Kouyate will make a better RB than Byram even though Byram was supposedly bought for that position :-) ? I do not know Byram's history at Leeds but I heard (admittedly from people on this site so possibly suspect) that he was played mostly as a right midfielder.
The old Kouyate midfielder versus defender debate will rage on. I think he could be a top wing back although the fact that he sees himself as an attacking midfielder may mean he has to move to get his way. IMO (often wrong) he is not technically good enough to play midfield and this season was dreadful in terms of his work rate getting back, Like I say, we have this argument a lot and he might come into midfield and become the new Patrick Vierra once more but for me he is closer to Mo Diame than Vierra simply down to poor technique and passing.
At RB, sure he got nutmegged by Chadli last game, but he is tall , great in the tackle normally, strong and good running with the ball from deep as a wing back ? Well that's just a hunch but Byram looks far too vulnerable to pace at RB and has the tendency to lunge in.
Opinions eh? :-)

What? You mean last week's report where he said "We got Andy fit enough to face Middlesbrough and then also to face Southampton, but the West Bromwich Albion game came too quick and Andy is now working towards the Watford game."
You might be right but that hardly is a reason to think Carroll will miss the game surely?
